                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 4800
                   BLOCK OF JERSEY PIKE, BEING ON THE SOUTHEAST
                   LINE OF JERSEY PIKE SOUTHWEST OF HIGHWAY 58,
                   FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO R-4 SPECIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 4800 block of Jersey
                Pike, being on the southeast line of Jersey Pike
                southwest of Highway 58.  Lot 1, Division of
                Lakeside School Tract, as shown by plat of record
                in plat book 42, page 349, R.O.H.C.; being the
                property described in deed book 3785, page 966,
                R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 129C-A-3.1.
               
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to R-4 Special Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
